As you step up and over a little bridge, you are surrounded by walls with water running down them. If you have dinner reservations, you are greeted at the reception desk and then led through a bar/lounge, where stylish lights hang above low-slung couches. You leave the bright lights and hustle-bustle of the Sun behind as you step from the Sky Tower hotel lobby into TAO. Walking into the new TAO Asian Bistro & Lounge in Mohegan Sun is like entering a different, very cool realm. This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, requirements or working conditions associated with the job.TAO restaurant at Mohegan Sun: hip design, delectable food, tough-to-get reservations Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as days, evenings, weekends and holidays.Must be able to work and remain focused in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.Exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials.Role may include job duties or tasks requiring repetitive motion.Must be able to bend and lift to 50 lbs.Must be able to stand, lift and bend for extended periods of time.Tao Group Hospitality in-venue dining room server training, Alcohol Awareness Certificate, Food Handling Certificate.Demonstrates knowledge of Tao Group Hospitality, its partners and supporting hotel environments.Knowledge of Mohegan Sun corporate and department policies and procedures.Portrays a positive and professional attitude.Ĭompetencies : Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:.Learns by listening, observing other team members and sharing knowledge while leading by example.Attends and participates in any training sessions or departmental meetings.Attends and participates in daily pre-service meetings (where applicable).Responsible for reporting all breakage, damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management.Performs closing side-work as prescribed.Performs opening side-work as prescribed.Stocks side-stations with prescribed supplies.Wipes down chairs, tables and banquettes.Ensures all tables, chairs and banquettes are clean and free of debris.Properly sets-up floor and other opening/closing procedures as directed by management.Communicates the needs of the guests to Front-of-House and Heart-of-House support staff, managers and chefs.Accurately completes all end-of-shift financial procedures.Works as part of a team and provides help and support to all fellow team members.Complies with Department of Health and company sanitation standards.Serves all alcoholic beverages in accordance with all state regulations and alcohol awareness training standards.Possesses in-depth knowledge of all food and beverage menus and the company. ![]() Follows supervisor’s instructions, communicate with and support co-workers while being a team player.Ensures the delivery of all food and beverage to the guests.Accurately enters all orders into the POS system and follows proper cash/payment card procedures.Solicit any allergy or dietary restrictions from each guest. ![]() Informs guests of all food and beverage specials, with prices.Presents menus, answers question and make suggestions for all food and beverage items. ![]()
